Laguna Dance Festival will host an unforgettable weekend of dance. The festival will feature two of the nation’s major dance companies – Cincinnati Ballet, led by Jodie Gates, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, directed by Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell. Over the weekend there will be different performances danced by exceptional and exciting dancers, offering our audience the best of contemporary dance and ballet.Cincinnati Ballet will perform iconic repertory by William Forsythe, Alejandro Cerrudo, Andrea Schermoly, and the Grand Pas De Deux from ballet’s classic work Don Quixote. Hubbard Street will perform contemporary repertory from the exemplary choreographers Amy Hall Garner, Kyle Abraham, Spencer Theberge, Ohad Naharin, and Aszure Barton.Cincinnati Ballet will perform Friday. Saturday will be a special combined performance with the two companies, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will perform Sunday. This celebration of dance is not to be missed!Thursday is an audience favorite, Backstage with Cincinnati Ballet, a sneak peek event.
