In commemoration of our Centennial year, Laguna Playhouse will be offering a series of stage readings starting in August, highlighting a play from every decade. Each stage reading will include a reception and will be limited to one performance of each reading.
In order to attend these commemorative stage readings, we are offering a unique subscription package that we are calling the Centennial Circle. As a part of the Centennial Circle, which is a tax
deductible donation, donors will be able to attend the stage readings, will be invited to the official Laguna Playhouse Birthday Bash, will be listed in Centennial publications, and will receive two bottles of Laguna Playhouse Centennial commemorative wine. Each subscription is $1,000 and we are limiting it to 300 subscriptions first come first serve!
Your donation also comes at a very critical point of our existence. Recent government mandates due to the Coronavirus have forced us to shut our theatre and cancel all shows until our Centennial season begins in July. This will be the first time that we have been actively closed since World War II, when our theatre on Ocean Avenue was used as barracks to house soldiers. Laguna Playhouse was compensated by the USO for use of our theatre at that time, but there are no government funds that will make up for the hundreds of thousands of dollars in ticket sales losses that we are actively experiencing. While theatres like Laguna Playhouse all depend on donations in order to keep the theatre in operation and produce plays, we hope that you can consider supporting us and join the Centennial Circle!
