It’s an experience where the entire audience gets involved– The characters ask for reactions from the audience! It’s super interactive! “We pride ourselves on using these pantos that are fairytales that everybody knows and loves and music that everybody knows and loves and can sing-a-long with and they’re interactive so you can BOO everybody that’s bad and cheer everybody that’s good!” -Becky Lythgoe. There are big laughs (mainly from me!), cool effects and surprises, amazing choreography, and contemporary songs that you will sing-along-to! There is truly something for everyone! “We are so passionate about theater arts, about bringing new young audiences into the theater and hoodwinking them into being theater supporters, and enthusiasts for the rest of their lives. It really is amazing to see what happens when you partner with some place that is your home like Laguna who has the exact same philosophy as you do– which is ARTS,” shared Becky Lythgoe. Pixie dust is sprinkled all over this show! It’s a modern twist on the classic Peter Pan story with another twist making it a Holiday special. You’ll be completely invested from the first dance number! I know, because this Mama was clapping, singing, yelling “YAS” and smiling from ear to ear right from the beginning! That’s exactly how I felt after seeing “Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Rose,” last year! It was SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD. It was such an amazing experience that our entire family enjoyed! My daughter had a BLAST!In “Peter Pan and Tinker Bell: A Pirate’s Christmas,” Tinker Bell (Ashley Argota), Wendy (Bryce Charles) and Peter Pan (Lincoln Clauss) try to put a stop to the plot of some dastardly pirates who plan to kidnap Peter as a present to Captain Hook (John O’Hurley). Smee, played by (Ben Giroux) did a fantastic job in the role and was a comedic genius. An honorable mention goes out to the PIRATES who were absolutely amazing! The pirates that were part of Captain Hooks crew were spoofs of pop stars | Elvis, Michael Jackson and John Lennon. They were so SPOT ON I couldn’t even believe it! Elvis mumbled the entire time, Michael Jackson danced impeccably and John Lennon answered in Beatles lyrics and Beatles lyrics only! Pure COMEDY GOLD. Hands DOWN the best set of pirates I’ve ever seen. Classic! Sound interesting? …trust me, it is! There are some unexpected twists and turns with humor, sentiment and a little “Uptown Funk” that will make you dance, sing, and want to jump on stage and join in! Luckily in typical Lythgoe Family Panto fashion, you get to do just that! The audience is encouraged to join in, laugh OUT LOUD, boo at the villain, and react. Plus, if your get your child the GOLDEN TICKET, towards the end of the show they get the opportunity to join Smee onstage for a special Q&A and sing-a-long fun. Oh, and if your kids love the Disney Channel show “Coop and Cami: Ask the World,” then you’re not going to want to miss Dakota Lotus’ performance as John Darling! Um, I’m sorry…what!?!?
